Be Part of the SOLUTION to Homelessness

Do you want to volunteer on a deeper level?
Do you want to know the people you are helping?
Do you want to witness the impact of your involvement?

Imagine LA is a non-profit that ends the cycle of family homelessness by mobilizing trained mentors, collaborative public and private resources, and community leaders who understand that a roof over one’s head is merely the starting point to a better life.

Think: Housing First. Imagine LA Second.

The Imagine LA Family Empowerment & Mentorship model utilizes intensive family case management and super charges it with mentorship and access to private and public resources. We match and guide teams of trained volunteers to work with families emerging from homelessness or at severe risk of homelessness to maintain their housing, to attain self-sufficiency and to ensure that every family member thrives. Imagine LA matches every family member with a one-to-one mentor; plus every family gets a Budget Mentor; and other volunteers help with tutoring, career development, childcare, healthcare, meal-planning and more.

Imagine LA works to ensure that families who have experienced homelessness are able to maintain their home, achieve self-sufficiency, and ultimately help every member of the family thrive!

Our secret power is people like you!

Our Family Empowerment & Mentorship Program offers meaningful volunteer opportunities of all sizes: 1 day, 3 days, 3 months, to mentoring for one to two years! (Job shadow days, job skills, life skills, budgeting & financial literacy, mentoring an adult or a youth, tutoring, special needs projects, career development, Improv classes, childcare, college preparation, healthcare, meal-planning/nutrition, and more.)

Learn how you can be a vital part of a family's journey out of the cycle of homelessness, poverty and neglect.
