Kevin Taylor is a proud and engaged Angeleno, born and raised in the San Fernando Valley. He recently served as District Director for a local California State Senator, after working as West Valley Area Representative for Mayor Garcetti for the preceding two years. He's excited to be back to serve in the Office of Public Engagement, particularly in a time of such extraordinary need throughout Los Angeles. Since spending the first portion of his adult life in the rock 'n' roll business developing careers for artists, Kevin shifted to a life in public service and cultivated deep ties to his community, including stints as Executive Director of the Tarzana Community & Cultural Center, Director of Community Development for West Valley-Warner Center Chamber of Commerce, President of the Reseda Neighborhood Council, Steering Committee Member of the San Fernando Valley Coalition on Gangs, and a board member of 11:11 A Creative Collective. He has a demonstrated passion for working to end homelessness, getting young people engaged in government and volunteerism, and bending the arc in the right direction while regularly checking his privilege.
