FAQ

Do I have to register to attend?
Yes! It’s free, just visit our Eventbrite page, register for free as a job seeker and print out your ticket! Hurry, because space is limited!

Can I register on the day of the event?
Most likely. Given the level of interest we have received, we may be at capacity the day of the event leaving us unable to allow same day registration. Just in case, register online before the event!

What is the best way to get to the event?
Public transit and Uber are your best bet. Uber, TechFair LA’s official transportation partner, has  provided a 10% discount code to all attendees regardless of where you are coming from.  There is limited parking available,  so we encourage you to leave your car at home and arrive at TechFair LA via public transit, Uber and car (if necessary).

What is TechFair LA all about?
LA’s Tech Community voiced the need to make sure that qualified job seekers in LA know about the career opportunities that local tech companies are creating. Los Angeles has a diverse, and highly qualified workforce. So, Mayor Garcetti in partnership with Los Angeles Entrepreneur in Residence & Comparably CEO Jason Nazar, developed TechFair LA, to make sure that these job seekers can find careers that suit their interests and stay in Los Angeles.

What companies are going to be there?
We have over 250 of the leading tech firms in the region participating in the event. For a more detailed list of participating companies check out our Sponsors, Participating Companies, Community Partners and Academic Institutions section.

What should I bring with me in order to make the most out of the event?
Bring business cards and multiple copies of your resume you can share with all the great companies you meet, and have both ready to email or provide via thumb-drive.

Will there be food available?
There will be food trucks, and food options for purchase at the event. We ask that all attendees get their food and return to TechFair LA where we have provided a picnic style eating/working area. Water and energy drinks will be available for free throughout the day and have been generously sponsored by Aquahydrate and RedBull.

Can I stay all day and work?
Totally! Our Co-Working Space Partner, CrossCampus, will have two pop co-working spaces where you can work, take a quick meeting or call, play ping-pong, have some snacks and relax.
